I was honored to create illustrations for “Measuring impact decades after a summer camp for Mission Hill youth” – a wonderful six-part series for the Boston Globe written by Farah Stockman. This is the first piece for the Sunday Op-ed page.
This illustration is out today in the Wall Street Journal’s Arena section. “An Outbreak of Hysteria Novels” is about two upcoming books that are both based on the same event, when a strange outbreak begins with a popular girl and spreads to her circle of friends. The girls developed weird symptoms like facial tics, seizures, and uncontrollable physical movements.
Op-ed illustration for the Boston Globe. Article and color version online: D for Democrat. Or dodge.
This was a fun piece to work on for the Los Angeles Time’s L.A. Affairs section. “The author’s fear of driving on freeways put the brakes on her dating prospects, at least temporarily.” To read the article online: No fear on that freeway of love
New work for The Boston Globe for a review of “The Widows’ Handbook: Poetic Reflections on Grief and Survival”, a collection of poems from 87 American women of all ages whose partners or spouses have died. Article online: ‘The Widow’s Handbook’ describes loss through poetry
